In the end of February, Ilmarine has been granted the ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification for its project management.
The ISO 14001 certification guarantees that the company has an adequate management system to control the environmental impact and to continually improve the environmental performance of its activities in a systematic, effective and sustainable way.
The 18001 standard has provided a framework for establishing a management system to track and continually improve worker health and safety.
“Our customers are increasingly expecting state-of-the-art environmental and occupational health and safety control from their suppliers. The practices are demanded by Ilmarine’s activity field: marine- and heavy metalworking construction, industry, with very high risk of pollution and occupational injury,” explains Karel Saar, Member of the Management Board.
This certification formalizes a process the company has been undertaking for a long period of time.
